After taking care of Man'ka for so long I knew I had to get a tortoise for myself. I talked it over with Man'ka's owner and decided that a female would be best so there would be a better chance of them getting along, and on December 2, 2005 my beautiful little Sasha arrived in Juneau. When she got here she didn't look so good because she had not been packed properly for shipment during that time of year. After a nice warm bath and the opportunity to bask under a heat lamp, she settled right in and has been doing great ever since.
