Aesop is my second captive bred and born baby Redfoot. He arrived all safe and sound in Juneau on May 24, 2007 and he and Kobe are the best of roommates - a great team to say nothing less! Like Kobe, I originally wanted Aesop to have a name that also meant tortoise in a foreign language. In my search for the perfect name, however, I came across a reference to Aesop's Fables (one of which was 'The Tortoise and The Hare'), and I knew I had found a winner. Aesop hatched on May 11, 2006, and his parents are Gracie and Flip.

Vicki sent me this picture before Aesop arrived and called it "Food Face"...
Now that he's here with me, he's still living up to the name.

Aesop and Kobe were together in the baby table back in Alabama, and now they're reunited here in Alaska.
